Details:
Azita's fiancée, Nathan Mowers has been questioned in connection with her disappearance.
Mowers, who dated and lived with Azita for two years, told police the last time he saw her was at "The
Marketplace" shopping center in Southwest Bakersfield on September 6th, 2004 around two in the afternoon.
On Sept. 10th Azita's 1999 Nissan Pathfinder was found at the northwest corner of "The Marketplace"
parking lot, the same location where she was last seen.

When police went to his apartment armed with a search warrant, Mower, a part-time insurance salesman,
was gone. Later, he was arrested in Angelo, Wisconsin for carrying a concealed firearm. It is reported that
he was pulled over in his 2005 Mercedes for a registration violation. With him, he carried his dog, two
handguns and nearly $20,000 in cash.

Bakersfield Police traveled to Wisconsin, confiscated his car and Palm Pilot and interviewed Mowers again.
Mowers maintained his innocence, saying he wasn't on the run, but returning to Wisconsin following a trip to
New York.
Azita was the mother of a young boy whom she was devoted to. Friends say she would have never left him
behind willingly.
Police suspect foul play in Azita's disappearance and Mower is still considered the prime suspect.
