Denise was last seen wearing a light brown uniform. She has pierced ears.

Details:
Denise was last seen on the morning of September 22, 2000, by her husband who watched as she
drove away to her job at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. She had taken her overnight bag and a
sleeping bag in preparation for an overnight stay with the parks annual "Roar and Snore" program.
Denise did not arrive at work that morning and was never seen again.

Police questioned Patrick Hamilton a co-worker of Denise's whom she had previously had an affair. He
confessed that he had strangled Denise after becoming angry that she ended their relationship and
returned to her husband. Hamilton stated that he hid her body in the Anza Borrego Desert east of
San Diego. He accompanied Police to the area on 2 separate occasions but they were unsuccessful
in locating her body. Hamilton was charged with her murder and has been sentenced to 15 yrs to
life.
