Details:
Betty had been riding on a tractor with her husband in the Midpines area near the Sierra National Forest. After being let off near Carsten and Plumbar Rd., she proceeded to walk towards their residence. She never arrived and has not been seen or heard from since. Betty suffered from a nervous condition and possibly early Alzheimer's disease; it is believed that she may have been disoriented at the time and lost her way.
