Details:

Evgeniy Lushevskiy, originally from Russia and living in Philadelphia, PA., came to California on vacation with his
parents. On October 30, 2004, he left to visit a friend at Claremont McKenna (Harvey Mudd) College. When
leaving the College, he told the friend that he was going hiking in the Mt. Baldy area.
When he didn't return the following day, Oct. 31, his parents reported him missing. About a week later, his
backpack was found off a hiking trail containing his video camera. Police watched the film, seeing the
19-year-old build a campfire on Halloween night and watching the sunrise the following morning. At one point on
the tape you can hear Evgeniy receiving directions to a nearby trail.

Despite over 100 search parties, no other traces of Evgeniy have ever been found and he remains missing.
