Mary has a scar on her abdomen and was wearing glasses with dark plastic frames at the time she went
missing.

Details:
Mary Watkins, a nurse at Modesto City Hospital, was last seen by a friend as she was packing to move away.
Her disappearance is suspicious since she gave several friends different stories as to why she was going out of
town.
Mary had a large amount of cash with her from the sale of her Modesto home. She had told her banker she was
going to use the money to invest in property. She had told another friend that she was moving in with her
daughter. When Police contacted Mary's daughter she stated there hadn't been any plans for her Mother to
move in with her nor was she aware that she had sold her home.
Mary's vehicle was found abandoned two days later in the parking lot of what now is known as the Sutter Gould
Medical Foundation building at 600 Coffee Road. Several days after that, the daughter received a letter from
her Mother saying she was eloping to get married.
There have been no sightings or contact with Mary since that time.
