He told his relatives he was going to Oroville, California to help another deaf friend move. The two got into an argument; Rodney picked up his backpack and walked toward a grove of trees. He has not been seen or heard from since. Family members believe Rodney may have met with foul play or injury; he has a girlfriend and an 11-year-old daughter, both of whom he is close to.
