Details:
On March 29, 2006, Shawn, a graduate student in sociology at the University of California at Santa Barbara
was last seen in a cave accessed through a man-made tunnel at the Sutro Baths in San Francisco, California.
The only witness to the incident was his high school friend Robert Milano who stated that Shawn had been
swept out to sea by a wave. Rob left the area without reporting the incident stating he was too much in
shock to ask for help. Since then Rob's recollection of the events has been inconsistent.

The family did not find out that he had been seen swept into the ocean until over 32 hours later.
Shawn's disappearance is classified as being under suspicious circumstances.
