Details:
Tom was last seen on December 5, 1979 in Palmdale, CA., leaving his girlfriends home in his Firebird, Trans Am. The car was pulled over 2 weeks later coming back into California from Nevada. It was being driven by another man, Craig Moore. In the car the police found a handgun under the driver's seat and Tom's jacket in the trunk. The pink slip to the car showed it had been signed over to Craig by Tom.
Craig Moore was arrested and held for about 2 weeks, but with no evidence to go on investigators had to release him. Craig is still considered a suspect in Tom's disappearance.
