Details:
William Michael Ewasko, a vacationer from Marietta, Georgia, planned to hike alone in the Joshua Tree National Park. After Mr Ewasko had not contacted his girlfriend as planned, she filed a missing persons report.
On June 26, 2010, a CHP helicopter crew located Mr Ewasko's rented vehicle on Key's View Road in Joshua Tree Park. Searchers combed the Quail Mountain area, the Hayfield Lake area and the Lost Horse Valley area with no results. Although, Mr. Ewasko is an experienced hiker; familiar with the park and in good physical condition, it is believed he may have become lost or injured.
