Details:
Ylva was last seen at her place of employment a German-American software company, in Belmont, California on
October 14, 1996. A few days after her disappearance Ylva's car was found six blocks from her office, unlocked and
with her the keys still in the ignition.

Ylva was a resident of Palo Alto and attended Stanford University. Reportedly, Ylva had been stalked by a male
acquaintance, a University Professor prior to her disappearance. According to the family, the Professor was
interviewed by Police, and given a lie detector test which he failed. To date no criminal charges have ever been filed
against him. There has been no activity on her bank or credit card accounts since she vanished. Authorities believe
that foul play is involved in her disappearance.
